Deck Chair from The Titanic
This chair is said to have been recovered by the cable ship, Minia.
While the Minia recovered only 17 bodies, it did recover a large
amount of woodwork, chairs and debris. On board was a master carpenter named
William Parker who was in awe of all the beautiful woodwork floating around.
He made chess boards, document boxes, picture frames and other things out of
the salvaged wood. (We'll be posting more images from my collection in the future.)
